Chamber announces 2023 award recipients
The Springfield Area Chamber of Commerce has named Dotty de Lambert as the Spirit of Springfield and Glen’s Auto Parts-NAPA as the Business of the Year Award winners.
The Spirit of Springfield award recognizes a person who is a friend of Springfield and a support of the Springfield Community.
“Dotty serves and has served on numerous boards including: Springfield Library Board and St. John’s Lutheran Home Foundation. She also served on a Quality Committee when Mayo was in town,” said the anonymous person who nominated her.
“Dotty is a strong supporter of the arts. She is the friendly face area artists visit with as she’s volunteering at Springfield’s Annual Juried Art Show. Dotty always expresses her support for the various projects going on in Springfield.”
The Business of the Year award recognizes a business that has shown profitability, growth, and sustainability along with a commitment to community service and is a strong supporter of the Springfield Community.
“Glen’s Auto Parts-NAPA have been a staple in the community for over 40 years,” said the anonymous person who nominated the business. “They are a great bunch of guys who really know their business, plus they have exceptional customer service!”
