Christmas at the museum
Memory Makers Quilt Club members Laura Lee Bast and Arliss Petersen decorated a Christmas tree at the Springfield Museum for the Springfield’s Area Historical Society’s annual Festival of Trees. The quilters made the ornaments from fabrics, quilting supplies and notions. More than two dozen trees have been decorated in a variety of themes for the Springfield Area Historical Society’s annual Festival of Christmas Trees in the Springfield Museum. The Advance-Press camera captured a picture of Christina Van Batavia and Michelle Farmer decorating a Christmas tree to represent the Red Rock Bank. They used a winter ice fishing sports theme. The public is invited to visit the museum and view the trees during Springfield’s Annual Holiday Open House this evening (Wednesday, Nov. 14.)
