French student enjoying time at Springfield High School

Julie Fanet is a foreign exchange student from France who is attending Springfield High School during this 2023-2024 school year.  She arrived in the Springfield area on September 2 and is living with Steve and Heidi Wersal in Sanborn.  She has two organizations that she works with to make the student exchange program happen—WEP in France and ISE in the United States.

Julie grew up in Rouen, France, the capital of Normandie, a region in northern France, about two hours from Paris.  Her father, Jean-Francois, is an aerospace engineer and her mother, Synthia, is a social worker.  She has a twin sister, Alice, an older sister, Harmonie, as well as a dog named Snoopy and two cats named Yuna and Bella.
