Scott Hesse retires from U.S. Postal Service

Scott Hesse is retiring from his duties at the local post office on October 22. He has worked for the U.S. Postal Service for fourteen years— since 2007—and at the Springfield location since 2008.
Hesse was working as a mail truck driver in 2002 when he was offered a position at the Willmar, Minnesota Post Office and Plant in 2007. He transferred to the Springfield Post Office in February 2008 as a mail carrier and customer service clerk. You could usually find Scott working at the front desk most mornings. “I have enjoyed serving our customers and working with a great group of people,” he commented.
Scott has no definite retirement plans. He and his wife, Mary, will have their antique store “Hidden Treasures” on the corner of Central Street and Marshall Avenue open more hours for customer convenience. He will also be looking for some other employment and just enjoy some fun and relaxation.
Scott’s last working day at the Post Office will be Thursday, October 21. Stop by and say hello and wish him best regards on his retirement.
