Riverside Rodeo

Springfield’s Riverside Rodeo is back at their stomping grounds

Last year the Riverside Rodeo took over downtown Springfield, due to flooding in the park. This year, they were back at Riverside Park.

“While we were grateful for the flexibility from the City, surrounding businesses, and Baseball Association last year to move the event downtown after the flood, it was much easier on the fans, rodeo, and Baseball Association to have the event back down at Riverside Park,” stated Rodeo Committee member, Bracey Lerner adding, “It is such a beautiful area and we are thankful for their generosity to share it with us. We feel that it fits the vibe very well in the park.”

This year’s event brought in well over 1000 people who packed the stands and stadium to watch the Great Frontier Bull Riding during the Riverside Days celebration.

The community support and visitor turnout continues to be excellent. They are estimating around 1500 people in attendance during the event.

The concession stand was busy with over 800 hamburgers and over 250  hot dogs served as well as 40lbs. of bacon added free to burgers courtesy of the Brown County Pork Producers.

“We would like to thank the Springfield Baseball Association and their wonderful volunteers that continue to partner with us on our event,” said Lerner.

During intermission, approximately 45 children tried their hand at riding  sheep in the Mutton Bustin’ event.

“The committee would like to again thank our generous sponsors that make the event possible and affordable,” said Lerner. “We pride ourselves on providing a fun family friendly event for everyone in town to enjoy. Our mission is to bring an event to Riverside Days weekend that helps lift the whole weekend for all committees and businesses in town. We continue to be amazed by the support from our fans, sponsors, volunteers, and partners at the baseball association and look forward to 2026.”
