Springfield Area Community Center to celebrate 20 years

The Springfield Area Community Center is celebrating its 20th anniversary and you’re invited to join in. The center is hosting an Open House on Tuesday November 5, from 4:00-7:00 p.m.. Come on by to enjoy refreshments, tour the building and reminisce about the last 20 years at the center.
“It was built off of donations,” said Jill Riederer, Manager of the Springfield Community Center.
The idea for the center began back in 1984, when the Springfield Chamber of Commerce conducted a survey to evaluate the needs of the community. The need for a gathering place was identified as a high priority.
