Summer Reading Program brings out Wild Things Zoo

Well over 100 people came out to the Wild Things Zoo held last Tuesday at the Springfield Area Community Center. It was a wonderful opportunity for young and old alike to learn about exotic animals.  The fun event was put on as a part of the Springfield Public Library’s Tails and Tales Summer Reading Program.

Christian Lillenthal from Wild Things Zoo Attractions shared different animals including a parrot, alligators, a joey and fox puppies with the audience. In addition to learning more about each animal’s habitat, many audience members were able to touch and pet the animals.

The library’s summer reading program has a lot of fun events coming up including crafts, bingo and the Jolly Pops music event.
