Notice of Hearing on Improvement

NOTICE OF HEARING ON IMPROVEMENT

TO WHOM IT MAY CONCERN:

Notice is hereby given that the City Council of Springfield will meet at the Springfield Area Community Center at 6:00 p.m. on January 20, 2015, to consider the making of improvements by reconstruction of curb and gutter, bituminous surface, sidewalks, and driveways; and construction of storm sewer, sanitary sewer mains, sanitary sewer lines, water mains and water service lines, on Van Dusen Street from the intersection with Spring Avenue westerly to the intersection with Highway 14, and on Gamble Street from Ray Avenue to Burns Avenue.

These improvements will be made pursuant to M.S.A. Section 429.011 to 429.111.  The area proposed to be assessed for such improvement is the property abutting on Van Dusen Street and Gamble Street as described above.  The estimated cost of the improvement is $2,106,000.00, of which the portion of the estimated cost to be specially assessed against the abutting property owners is $844,000.00.  Such persons as desire to be heard with reference to the proposed improvements will be heard at this meeting.
