Bob Simonson honored 70 years as a Legionnaire

R.P. “Bob” Simonson was recently recognized for 70 years as a member of the American Legion Post 286 in Sanborn. 

It was with great pride that Bob received his Certificate of Recognition from his son, Cleve Simonson, the current Commander of that post. 

 Following is the message on the certificate: “Be it known that proper attestation has been provided to the effect that R.P. Simonson has been a member in good standing of the American Legion continuously for the period of 70 years and be it further known that such record of consistent loyalty to the American Legion merits the honor of being cited as an outstanding contributor to the accomplishment of the programs of the American Legion.

Bob resides at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
