Bold, brilliant and beautiful!

Neil Neidt, retired after teaching art 35 years at Springfield High School, claimed first prize with his painting of Zinnia, Minnesota Landscape Arboretum in the 2017 Juried Art Show at Springfield Public Library.  It was during a recent visit to the Minnesota Landscape Arboretum that he saw a bee perched on a zinnia blossom and snapped a picture.  He created a beautiful bold picture of brilliant red flowers with oil on canvas.  For story about the art show and more pictures, turn to Family and Friends news page in this newspaper.
