Braun and Borth Sanitation changes hands

Barney Borth and Mike Braun have sold their waste management business to Brent Kucera and Chad Mathiowetz.  The change of ownership will take effect Jan. 1, 2015.

Headquartered  in Sleepy Eye, Braun and Borth Sanitation collects trash from Sleepy Eye, Cobden, Evan and Springfield.

Kucera and Mathiowetz said they plan to continue to operate the business in the same way that it has been run for more than a quarter-century. They plan to retain the name, all the same employees and provide the same great service to which their customers are accustomed.

The only major change Kucera and Mathiowetz foresee in the immediate future is the retirement of co-owner Mike Braun, who plans to begin enjoying retirement January 1 after 42 years in the trash and recycling industry.  See this week's Advance-Press for more on this story.
