A grand piano for school’s music department

Springfield Public Schools Music Department recently acquired a new grand piano. It is “slightly used,” but new to the department and replaces the piano that was “greatly used.”   The piano was purchased with grants from the Springfield Area Foundation and the Pieschel Foundation, and a contribution from Parents Aligned With Schools (PAWS). Springfield High School Vocal Music Instructor Jacob Kempenich, Grace Pingeon, Mitchell Buerkle, John Ombaye and Carli Petersen are pictured with Jodi Dalsgaard at the keyboard as they practiced music for the upcoming fall musical stage production to be staged by Springfield Public Schools and Springfield Community Theatre in November.
