No matter how long the winter, spring is sure to follow!

The  week of Feb. 18-24  gave us 10.3 inches of snow with 1.18 inch of precipitation in Springfield, with 3.8 inches on Thursday, Feb. 22, and 5.2 inches on Saturday, Feb. 24.    The snow and frost —  for a few fleeting, frozen moments — created a beautiful landscape worth of a picture . . . or many pictures.  However, with spring just 20 days away, and days with more sunlight and warmth, the snow won’t last long.  The forecast for early March is for mild weather, and future storms will likely be a mix of rain and snow.
