Poster contest helps raise awareness of fire safety education

The F&M Agency continues a long-held tradition by sponsoring a Fire Poster Contest annually during National Fire Prevention Week.  Fourth-graders are encouraged to use their artistic ability while demonstrating a fire safety awareness message to help raise awareness of fire safety education. Winners were announced Friday afternoon when the students had a tour of the Springfield Fire Station and learned about fire fighting and rescue work. All received red junior firefighter hats.
