Rotary conducting annual Rose Sale
Proceeds benefit local projects
The Springfield Rotary Club is conducting its annual Rotary Rose Sale for the twenty-second consecutive year.
Roses are one of the most enduring symbols of love and appreciation. A gift of roses brings messages of love and appreciation and helps brighten the days for many people in our area, and the sale helps local charities, too.
Purchasing a dozen roses helps the Springfield Rotary Club stand behind their motto, “Service Above Self.” During the past year, the Springfield Rotary Club supported the following local projects: Brown County United Way, FFA Greenhouse, Sticker Field project, Accelerated Reader program at local schools, Meals on Wheels, St. John’s Circle of Care birthday party, Springfield Area Historical Society, St. Johns Church clothing drive, Regional Boy Scouts, Post Prom, Springfield Community Theatre, Tiger Football Camp, student scholarships, Arion Award to outstanding music student, Riverside Days Parade and Riverside Days carnival.
Orders are being received now through October 8.
The roses are selling for $15 per dozen.
The roses will be delivered Oct. 12-14.
To place an order, see or call a Rotary member — or call your order to Jeff Krueger or Doris Weber at the Springfield Advance-Press, 723-4225; Amanda Frank at Reiner Real Estate, 723-5233; or e-mail Kahla Petersen at firstname.lastname@example.org.
