SHS Ag Education named most ‘outstanding’ in state

`The Springfield High School Agriculture Educa-tion program has been named The 2015 Outstanding Secondary Ag Program in the state of Minnesota.

T. J. Brown, Industrial Technology and Agriculture Education instructor, was recognized and presented the awards — a handsome wood and bronze plaque and a big traveling trophy — at the Minnesota Association of Agricultural Educators (MAAE) Summer Conference Awards Banquet and Program at Jackpot Junction Wednesday evening July 8. 

Springfield was chosen best of the best from eight Regions in the state of Minnesota. Judging criteria was based on teacher philosophy, instruction, experiential learning, FFA, partnership, marketing, and professional growth. Judges are instructors at technical colleges and past award winners.
