Springfield expresses gratitude to daycare providers

By Jill Tollefson Veerkamp
While many parents rush off to work or tackle busy schedules, a group of dedicated individuals quietly does some of the most important work in town—caring for our children. As small communities, including Springfield, face increasing childcare challenges, it’s important to pause and thank the daycare providers who have supported our families for years.
We extend heartfelt appreciation to our current daycare providers in Springfield: Tammy Johnson, Nancy Anderson, Theresa Larson, Angela Riederer, Muriel Walter, Alexandria Hammerschmidt, Lynn Hansen, LeAnne Vaske, Tracy Siekmann, Catarina Lang, JodiAnn Kazeck, Tanya Hovland, Renita Streich, Connie Helget, St. Raphael’s Daycare (Katie Pierson, Maggie Vogel, Gretchen Peichel and Beth Steffl) and St. John’s Daycare (Lisa Anderson, Morgan Frederickson, Kaylee Romsdahl, Jalivia Richert, Joeli Richert, Ana Honeman, Mary Beussman, Emma Pingeon, Lily Pingeon and Chloe Krueger). These providers—and many others throughout the years—have given parents peace of mind, children loving care, and our community a critical foundation for long-term success.
