Students to hear about ‘The Power of Words’
Orator, author and artist Eric Samuel Timm will present a lyceum at Springfield Public Schools on Tuesday, March 10.
“The Power of Words” is the topic of his program and he will talk about the power of words that build people up or tear them down.
All students will have the opportunity to attend the programs — K-6 and 7-12 — in age appropriate programs.
In the evening, at 7:00 p.m. Timm will present a faith-based program for students and parents in the Performing Arts Auditorium at Springfield Public Schools.
On Thursday, March 19, there will be an informal follow-up gathering at the Springfield Area Community Center for any and all who have questions about a personal faith. This session will be facilitated by area clergy.
“Within each assembly program, community involvement and partnership is our mission to invest for the betterment of our families, schools, communities and world by harnessing the power of art, humor and the human spirit,” says Timm.
Already speaking to more than 1.5 million people, Timm contiues to travel through the United States and internationally. He captivates his audience with his unique teaching and preaching style.
Timm is currently working on a Master of Divinity at Bethel Seminary in St. Paul. He serves his local church as a teaching pastor and outreach speaker. He also is communications lecturing professor at North Central University. He, his wife and three children are Minnesota residents.
The evening program is sponsored by Cru, a volunteer non-profit spiritual movement.
