Who will be Homecoming King and Queen?

The Senior Class at Springfield High School elected candidates for 2018 Homecoming King and Queen last week. Queen candidates are pictured, from left: Chassidy Vanderwerf, daughter of Layne and Jennie Vanderwerf; Madisyn Kuehn, daughter of Ron Kuehn and Suzie Meyer;  Brittany Rogotzke, daughter of Curt and Heather Rogotzke; McKenzie  Lothert, daughter of Lance and Heather Lothert; and Sarah Dunn, daughter of Paul Dunn and Kellie Dunn.   King candidates are: Jake Veenstra,  son of Brian and Becky Veenstra; Jordan Kieper, son of Curt and Valerie Kieper; Tim Rogotzke, son of Jim and Sara Rogotzke; James Ploeger, son of Trent and Kristi Ploeger; and Isaac Fink, son of Bob and Heidi Fink. Coronation will be at 8:00 p.m. Monday, Sept. 24.  The royalty will reign over a week of activities that will conclude with the homecoming football game on Friday, Sept. 28.
