Alberta M. Love
On Sunday, January 17, 2021 Alberta Marie Love, a loving wife and mother passed away at the age of 57, at Memorial Hospital in Modesto, CA.
Due to COVID-19, services will be held later in the year.
Alberta Marie Love was born on September 16, 1963 to John and Lenore (Webb) Krier in Oakdale, CA. She graduated from Downey High School.
Soon after, she met the love of her life, John Love. On November 9, 1985 they were united in marriage in Waterford, CA. Alberta and John made their first home in Hickman, CA. and were blessed with one daughter. The family later moved to Waterford, CA.
After marriage she continued her schooling, graduating from Modesto Jr. College in 1986 as a preschool teacher.
Many remember Alberta as “Teacher Berta”. She spent many years working at Byron Todd Preschool. She thoroughly enjoyed working with the children, it never felt like a job to her. She made many life-long friends with her co-workers, parents and students.
Alberta was dedicated to her work, but her passion was her family. She loved “going to school” and caring for her daughter, Grace. Traveling to Monterey with her husband and extended family. Taking drives to the mountains and snapping pictures of her family, friends and pets. She was an excellent artist, always trying new mediums and techniques. She enjoyed board games, gardening and Bunko with her friends. She loved to travel and was blessed to visit Give Kids the World and Disney World in Florida. She enjoyed going to Disney Land and was thrilled to visit Alabama. Alberta was known for her kindness and humor.
Alberta will be forever in the hearts of John Love, husband of 35 years; daughter and son in law Grace & Ryker Love-Pierson of Waterford; father and stepmother John & Alberta Krier of Tracy, CA; sisters Victoria Grove and her husband Tony of Denver, CO, Wendy Krier of Springfield, MN; brother Nic Krier and his wife Elizabeth of Susanville, CA; Brothers/sister In-laws: Carl Love & Nance O'Day West Sacramento, CA, Ernie & Judy Love Bakersfield, CA, Nina Church Clovis, CA, Shirley & Ron Richards Salix, PA. Nieces & nephews: Spencer, Bailey and Allison Krier Susanville, CA, Terri del Tour of Bakersfield, CA, Robin Richards, Pittsburg, PA, George Love, Bakersfield, CA, Ron Richards Jr., New Jersey; aunts, uncles, cousins and close friends she considered family.
She was preceded in death by her mother Lenore Krier, Grandparents Albert Webb, Edna and Elmore Krier, mother and father-in-law Ethel and Bus Love.
The family is requesting that in lieu of flowers, donations can be made in Alberta’s name to American Cancer Society (cancer.org), or her favorite charitable cause Give Kids the World in Kissimmee, FL (gktw.org).
