Betty Sturm Welte

 Betty Sturm Welte, age 93, of Floral City, Florida died May 25, 2021 at her home surrounded by her family.

Mass of Christian Burial was held Friday, May 27, 2021 with burial at the National Veterans Cemetery, Bushnell, Florida.

Betty, the daughter of Otto and Emma (Helget) Sturm was born October 2, 1927.  She graduated from Springfield Public High School.  She married Russell Welte on May 3, 1948.  Together they raised three children.

She is survived by a daughter Mary Gullett and son David Welte, grandchildren and great-grandchildren and cousins including Bernice (Jim) Manderfeld, formerly of Springfield.  She was preceded in death by her parents, husband Russ, son Thomas, grand-son-in-law Kemper Jones, brothers Alvin and Eugene and sister Kathleen.

She retired after many years with Sears stores in Wisconsin, Florida and California.
