Brunilla Schilling, 78, of Sleepy Eye, died on Saturday, Feb. 16, 2019, at Prairie Senior Cottages in New Ulm.
Mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10:30 a.m. today (Wednesday, Feb. 20) in St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye, with Msgr. Eugene Lozinski officiating. Interment will be in St. Mary’ s Cemetery.
Visitation from 4 to 7 p.m. Tuesday continues today from 7:30 to 10:30 a.m.at Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye.
Brunilla Loretta Lang was born on Jan. 18, 1941, in Springfield, Brown County, Minnesota, the daughter of Eugene and Gladys (Kral) Lang. She married Raymond Schilling on Sept. 5, 1959, at St. Raphael’s Catholic Church in Springfield. After their marriage Brunilla worked many years at 3-M.
She loved spending time at the lake, walking, visiting and listening to concertina, old time and country music. She was a member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in Sleepy Eye.
She is survived by her daughter, Kelly (Tom) Gutknecht of New Ulm; son, Randy (Jan) Schilling of Sleepy Eye; grandchildren, Bryan (Jen) Hesse, Brent Hesse, Brittany Hesse and fiancé Jon Nordby; step-grandchildren, Jessica, Kelly and Corey; great-grandchildren, Peyton, Amelia, Halle and Daiven; brothers, Kenny (Linda) Lang, Mike (Connie) Lang, Lowell (Cheryl) Lang, and Dan “Chopper” Lang; sister, LaVonne (Jerry) Hauth; and brother-in-law, Leo Schilling. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Ray; brother, Pat Lang; and sister, Dianora Lang.
