Charlotte Caroline Alma Bode, daughter of Gerhard and Agnes (Lange) Bode was born on Nov. 26, 1945, in New Ulm. She grew up on a farm in Courtland, where she attended Immanuel Lutheran Church and School through the eighth- grade. Charlotte graduated from Nicollet High School and went on to graduate from Mankato Beauty School. She worked as a hairdresser in Robbinsdale, Crystal, Nicollet and Springfield until her retirement in 2010. Charlotte married David Zimmerman on June 3, 1967. The couple made their home in Nicollet for six years and then moved to Springfield, where they lived for almost 43 years and started their joint barber/hairstyling business. Charlotte and David recently moved to Morris. They worked together for 33 years. Not only did they work together but they enjoyed many activities together as well.

Charlotte enjoyed dancing and golfing with her husband, singing in the church choir, artwork, and wintering in Texas. But mostly, she enjoyed time with her daughters and grandchildren.
