Dale Hacker

 

 Dale Hacker, 90, of Springfield, passed away June 21, 2022 at Valley View Manor in Lamberton, Minnesota.

Dale was born on October 13, 1931 in Owanka, South Dakota to William and Mamie Hacker.  The family moved to New Ulm, Minnesota when Dale was seven years old.  He served in the United States Army from 1952 to 1954.  He was united in marriage to Shirley Bernice Utz, the love of his life, on November 15, 1955.  The marriage blessed them with two children.

Dale worked at Tony Downs in St. James from 1954 to 1956.  He worked at Vigorena Feeds from 1956 until his retirement in 1996.

Dale enjoyed his family, grandchildren and great-grandchildren, going to the lake, mowing lawn, good country music with family and friends and maybe a Keystone or two.

He is survived by his wife, Shirley; daughter Kayla (Dennis) Barron; granddaughters Bobbi Barron and friend Andrew Jacoby, Katie (Victor) Thatcher and Lisa (Justin) Kieper; great-grandchildren Ashton, Millie, Vinny, Nora, Hank and Hanna.

Dale was preceded in death by his son, Dwayne Hacker; parents William and Mamie; brother Ervin Hacker; and sisters Sylvia Windschitl, Alvina Sellner and Pearl Roiger.

Dale will be deeply missed by all who loved him.
