Eddie Wilstermann

 

Funeral services for Eddie Wilstermann, 59, of Springfield, were held at 11 a.m.  Saturday, May 14, in the Chapel of the Good Shepherd at St. John Lutheran Home with Chaplain Noel Wetter officiating.  Interment was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.

 Mr. Wilstermann died Monday, May 9, 2016, at St. John Lutheran Home.

Edward ‘Eddie’ Allen Wilstermann was born May 28, 1956, in Springfield, Brown County, Minnesota, to Allen and Ardella (Grabow) Wilstermann. Eddie graduated from Springfield High School and worked at Vigorena Feeds as a feed mill operator for over 20 years. He moved to Spicer where he worked at Little Melvin’s as a bartender/ID checker, was an Eagle Lake landlord, installed carpet, and ran his business, Precision Auto Detailing.  Eddie enjoyed traveling and one of his missions in life was to bring shoes and goodies to the needy children of the Dominican Republic. He was a huge Minnesota fan and faithfully followed the Vikings, Timberwolves, Twins and Wild. Eddie also enjoyed fishing, racquetball, shooting pool and darts.

He is survived by his mother, Ardella of Springfield; sisters, Linda (Mike) Donahue of California, Bonnie (Arden) Brand of Springfield, Carol Polizia of Las Vegas, Nevada, and Ruth Ann Gicker of Springfield; brother, John Wilstermann of Hopkins; half-sister, Amy Wilstermann of Minnesota; and his extended family. Ken and Shari Koll and family and Dermont and Bonnie Wells and family of Springfield. He was preceded in death by his grandparents; father, Allen; and half-sister, Razrah Wilstermann.
