Elenora E. Thuer

Elenora E. Thuer, 102, of Saint Peter, formerly of Sleepy Eye, died on January 11, 2015, at Benedictine Living Community in St. Peter.

Visitation was held from 8:30 to 10:30 a.m. Thursday, January 15, at the Sturm Funeral Home, Sleepy Eye, followed by
the funeral service at 11:00 a.m. at St. Mary’s Catholic Church, Sleepy Eye. Interment was in St. Mary’s Catholic Cemetery, Sleepy Eye.
 

Elenora Krebs was born on September 26, 1912, in Cobden, Brown County, Minnesota, to Herman and Bertha (Arndt) Krebs. She grew up in Springfield where she met Albert B. Thuer. She married Albert on March 2, 1935, in New Ulm. The couple made their home in Sleepy Eye where they were longtime residents. Elenora was a kind, loving person, devoted to her family, always ready to help when needed, and will be greatly missed by her family and friends.
 

She is survived by her daughters, Joan (Bob) Werner of St. Peter, Alice (Bill) Loe, and Mary (Phil) Alioto; seven grandchildren; seven great-grandchildren; and a sister, OraDell Fischer. She was preceded in death by her husband, Albert in 1987; two brothers and a sister.

Sturm Funeral Home in Sleepy Eye was entrusted with funeral arrangements.
