Elizabeth “Liz” Jutz
Elizabeth “Liz” Jutz, age 99, of New Ulm, passed away Friday, April 2, 2021 at Woodstone Senior Living in Hutchinson.
Mass of Christian Burial will be at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, April 9, 2021 at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm. Burial will follow in the New Ulm Catholic Cemetery.
Visitation will be from 10:00-11:00 a.m. on Friday at St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm.
All guests in attendance are required to wear a mask and follow social distancing guidelines.

Elizabeth is survived by her daughter, Marilyn Reinarts of Hutchinson; son-in-law, Roger Ubl of Brainerd; 8 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 27 great, great grandchildren; and many nieces, nephews, and extended family.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Aloid; her parents; her daughter, Adella Ubl; sisters, Jennie, Tena, Carrie, and Anne; and her brothers, Bill, Claus, Dick, John, Sam, Herman, George, and Pete.
Elizabeth “Liz” Vanderwerf was born on August 7, 1921 in Springfield to Peter and Anna (Hayenga) Vanderwerf. She attended country school in Leavenworth, MN. On April 23, 1938, Liz was united in marriage to Aloid “Ely” Jutz at the Cathedral of the Holy Trinity in New Ulm. Their union was blessed with two children. In addition to being a mother, Liz worked as a machine operator at B.F. Goodrich and was an active member of St. Mary’s Catholic Church in New Ulm. She will be dearly missed by those that knew her. Blessed be her memory.
