Ellner Siebert

Ellner Dora Siebert, 88, of Springfield, died Wednesday, September 14, 2016, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.

Funeral service was held at 11 a.m. Saturday, September 17, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Tricia Mattson officiating.  Interment was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.

Ellner Dora Timm was born June 22, 1928, in Bashaw Township, Brown County, Minnesota, to Gustav and Louise (Bertha) Timm. Following her graduation from Springfield High School, Ellner attended Mankato Commercial College. She was united in marriage to Darold Siebert on October 16, 1949, at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield. They made their home in Clements.  Ellner worked as a bookkeeper at the Springfield Farmer’s Co-operative Creamery and later at the Clements Elevator. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church and the American Legion Auxiliary. Ellner enjoyed watching TV, sewing, crafts, gardening and traveling. Before her move to St. John Lutheran Home, Ellner resided at The Maples and Vista Ridge.

She is survived by daughters, Sue Siebert Kruse of Sauk Rapids and children Andrew and Kari; and Jan (George) Erickson of Springfield and children Douglas, Kristin (Dan) and their children Kienna, Kyra, Kolt and Karis, and Jenny (Dan) and their children Kaylee, Alexandra and Brooklyn; son, Charles (Debbie) Siebert of Eden Prairie and his children Ben (Sarah) and their children Charlotte and Graham, Gretchen (Jim) and their child Macklyn; and step-children Ashley (Christopher), and Alec (Deena).   She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Darold in 2009; son Larry; and brother Arno Timm.
