Frank Suess, 63, of Springfield, died on Saturday, March 2, 2019, at his home in Springfield.
Visitation will be on Saturday, March 9, from 9:30 am to 11:00 a.m. at St. Raphael Catholic Church.
The funeral service will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday in St. Raphael Church with Father Phil Schotzko officiating.
Frank William Suess was born on July 1, 1955, to Leonard and Violet (Neal) Suess in Springfield, Brown County, Minnesota. He attended and graduated JT Central High School in Joliet, Illinois, and then served in the U.S. Army from January 1975 to December 1976. On August 1, 1977, Frank was united in marriage to Patricia Damakowski in Joliet. He worked at 3M in New Ulm. Frank enjoyed time with his family, cooking, camping, fishing, and spending time with his dogs, Ace and
Bennett. He was known for his sense of humor.
He is survived by his wife, Patricia, of Springfield; children David Suess (Jodi Wendt), Tricia Cowan (Benjamin), Bradley Suess (Amanda); nine grandchildren; three step-grandchildren; three great-grandchildren; siblings, Leonard Suess (special friend Bev Juhl), Marjorie Williams (Don), and Fern
Shaw; and many nieces and nephews. Frank was preceded in death by his parents.
