Gary Mude, 62, of Sanborn, died Saturday July 25, 2015, at his home.
Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 30, at St. Johns Lutheran Church with Pastor Julie Smith officiating. Interment will be in the Springfield City Cemetery.
Visitation will be today (Wednesday, July 29) from 4:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield and will continue at the church on Thursday from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.
Gary Henry Mude was born March 19, 1953, in Springfield, Brown County, Minnesota, to Elvin and Verna (Rosenau) Mude. Gary graduated from Sanborn High School in 1971. During his high school years, Gary was a standout basketball player. Following high school he attended and graduated from Willmar Vocational-Technical Institute. Gary was a dedicated employee at Fox Brothers International for 42 years. He was united in marriage to Patty Miller on November 18, 1978, in Jeffers.
Gary enjoyed spending time with family and friends. He put on countless miles attending his children’s and grandchildren’s school/sporting events. Gary was always known for his jokes and little smirks. Gary will forever be remembered as a loving husband, son, brother, father and grandfather.
He is survived by wife Patty; children Missy and fiance’ Nick and their children Micheala, Mitchell, Mason, Charlotte and Hunter of Springfield, Rachel and husband Mark Severson and their children Reagan, Kessler, Brennan and baby of Sleepy Eye, and Matt and wife Jenny and their children Jaron and Sophie; beloved Boxer Sasha; mother Verna Mude of Springfield; sisters, Arliss (Richard) Petersen of Springfield, and Darlene Trapp of Sanborn; and brother Marvin (Pam) Mude of Wichita, Kansas. He was preceded in death by his father Elvin; mother and father-in-law Dean and Leona Miller; brother-in-law Tom Trapp; and nephew Christopher Miller.
