George Roiger

George Roiger age 82, of Springfield, MN died on July 31, 2021, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield. 

Visitation will be on Thursday, August 5, 2021, from 9:30 a.m. to 10:30 a.m. at the St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springfield. 

Service will be held at the St. Raphael Catholic Church on Thursday at 10:30 a.m. 

The clergy will be Father Garrett Ahlers. Interment will be at the St. Raphael Catholic Cemetery in Springfield.

George Louis Roiger was born on May 27, 1939, to George and Mary (Wersal) Roiger. He farmed with his father and then with his brother Vernon. Following his retirement, he moved to Cottonwood Ridge Apartments and then to St. John Lutheran Home. He loved to play cards and bingo. George was a member of St. Raphael's Catholic Church.  

He is survived by nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers - Jerome, Arnold and Vernon and sisters - Gladys Haas and Doris Schumacher.
