Harold Peterson

A Service of Remembrance for Harold Peterson, 74, of New Ulm and formerly of Comfrey, will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, June 13, at the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield.  Chaplain Noel Wetter will officiate at the service. Interment will be at the Springfield City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 10:00 a.m. until time of services on Saturday at the funeral home.

Mr. Peterson died on February 4, 2015, at his home in New Ulm.

Harold Peterson was born on June 14, 1940, in Comfrey, Minnesota, the son of Leslie and Ida (Seigman) Peterson. He grew up around Comfrey and Springfield and helped the family with farm work. In August of 1997 Harold moved to New Ulm and worked part time for Holm Industries. He enjoyed listening to music, preferably Rap, watching football and baseball on TV, and teasing the Minnesota fans by cheering for the Texas teams — Cowboys and Texans. Harold tried to be a friend to everyone he would meet, had a great sense of humor, could take a joke and give two back. He will be greatly missed.

Harold is survived by his sister, Arlene of Mankato; a brother, Raymond (Kathy) Peterson of Butterfield; and nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents.

Arrangements are with the Sturm Funeral Home in Springfield. Online condolences may be left for the family at www.sturmfh.com
