Funeral services were held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, January 30, at the Granite Falls Lutheran Church in Granite Falls. Interment was in the Belview Cemetery.
John K. “Jack” Anderson was born on August 18, 1933, in Tower City, North Dakota, to John E. and Helen (Gould) Anderson. He was baptized into the Christian faith on March 8, 1934. At 11 months of age, following the death of his mother, Jack moved to Springfield, where he lived with his grandparents and aunts. Following his confirmation at St. John Lutheran Church in Springfield on January 1, 1948, he moved in with his father and stepmother Gladys (Hetland) Anderson and attended Springfield High School, where he graduated in 1951. Jack was united in marriage to his one true love, Ardella Jean Jordan, on February 19, 1956, at St. John’s Lutheran Church in Redwood Falls. In November of 1956, Jack and Ardella moved to Belview, where Jack spent the rest of his life doing what he loved — farming. He was a faithful and active church member where he served on the church council, holding various positions, sang in the choir, and ushered. He was an original member of the Belview Sno-fliers and was on the Booster Club. Jack and Ardella enjoyed many years at the cabin on Green Lake with their children, his brothers, Ken and Lloyd, and their families, where he spent many hours driving the boat and pulling skiers. He also loved going to dances, playing cards, going for coffee, and he especially loved attending any activities that his children and grandchildren participated in, especially sporting events.
Jack is survived by his wife, Ardella, of Belview; children, Barb (Wyatt) Bendix of Echo, Pam (Scott) Eckerty of Frisco, Texas, Steve (Karen) Anderson of Echo, and Mike (Jean) Anderson of Belview; grandchildren David (Jennifer) Bendix, Brad (Kristen) Bendix, Danny (Emily) Bendix, Shelby and Carson Eckerty, Jordan (Kayla) Anderson, Cole (Kari) Anderson, Jacey (Christopher) Heiling, Riley Anderson, and Nathan, Kelly and Samantha Anderson.
