Jacquilyne Menter, 52, died Thursday, July 9, 2015, at her home in Springfield.

Funeral service will be at 10:30 a.m. Thursday, July 16, at St. Paul Lutheran Church with Chaplain Noel Wetter officiating.  Interment will be in the Springfield City Cemetery at a later date.

Visitation will be from 4:00 to 7:00 p.m. today (Wednesday, July 15) at Sturm Funeral Home, and will continue on Thursday at the church from 9:30 a.m. until time of services.

Jacquilyne Pam Menter was born March 3, 1963, in Springfield to Wilbert and Doris (Schnobrich) Stern. She graduated from Springfield High School in 1981 and was united in marriage to Terry Menter on June 6, 1981. Jackie worked at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield the past 36 years. She enjoyed taking trips, especially to Hawaii, baking goods, and staying busy. Jackie especially enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren and made sure that they were spoiled. She was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield and has resided on a hobby farm near Springfield for the past 30 years.

She is survived by her husband, Terry; children, Travis Menter of San Diego, Calif., Beth and husband Daniel Toland of Raymond, Pamela and husband Shaun Rosenau of Sacred Heart, and Crystal Menter of Franklin; eight grandchildren; and nieces, Katelyn Stern and Angela Tomlinson. She was preceded in death by her parents; brother, Joe Stern, in 2008; sister-in-law, Rae Jean Stern, in 1997; and mother-in-law, Delores Menter, in 2009.
