James Kevin Widmer, Sr. was born June 19, 1954 to Wilfred and Mildred (Suess) Widmer in Springfield. He attended school in Springfield and began his 45-year long career with AMPI in New Ulm. On October 27, 1995, Jim was united in marriage to Ramona Wiese in New Ulm. The couple continued to raise their family in New Ulm until Jim retired from AMPI. In his free time, Jim enjoyed playing pool, softball, and going golfing. Above all else, Jim loved spending time with his family the most. Whether it was traveling to the Bahamas, going to a Vikings game, or watching the kids’ or grandkids’ sporting events, Jim loved going to them all and getting to be with everyone as much as possible. Although he is no longer with us, his memory will live on in our hearts forever.
