Jean Arfmann, 66, of Burnsville, formerly of New Ulm, died Friday, January 29, 2016, at the home of her sister, Beth Burris.
Funeral service will be held at 11:00 a.m. Saturday, February 13, 2016, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home North Chapel in New Ulm with Richard Burris officiating.
Visitation will be one hour prior to the time of service at the funeral home on Saturday.
Jean is survived by her sisters, Randee Arfmann of Fridley, Mary Arfmann of Owatonna, Beth (Richard) Burris of Burnsville; nieces and nephews, Aaron (Katie) Martin, Hayden and Evelyn of Rochester, Kristi (Mike) Goslar, Lilia, Elijah and Silas of Brooklyn, New York, Elizabeth (Neil) Hailstone, Evergreen, Colorado, and Samuel (Rebecca) Vanderpoel, Mattheus and Simon of Owatonna; and by special friends, Brandon (Roxy) Bode and Cody Body of Gibbon.
She was preceded in death by her parents; a son, Caleb; and her nephew, Abel.
Jean Marie Arfmann was born June 3, 1949, in Tyler to Ervin and Verna (Mord) Arfmann. She was a 1967 graduate of Springfield High School and was a graduate of Mankato Business School. Jean was an avid supporter of her friends’ children and grandchildren attending their sporting events, 4-H, school and church activities. She loved “the little school” St. Peter’s Lutheran School in Molke Township, Nicollet County.
In lieu of flowers the family prefers memorials to St Peter’s Lutheran School scholarship fund.
