Jeffry Lee Almer

Jeffry Lee Almer, 67, passed away Monday, July 8, 2019, at the New Ulm Medical Center in New Ulm.

Funeral service will be 11 a.m. Friday, July 12, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm. Pastor Timothy Smith will officiate. Burial will follow in the Springfield Cemetery.

Visitation will be from 9-11 a.m. Friday, July 12, at the Minnesota Valley Funeral Home – NORTH CHAPEL in New Ulm.

Jeff is survived by his stepmother, Dorothy Almer of Lake Wilson; sister, Cheryl (Tim) Knutson of Phoenix, Arizona; brothers, Michael (Linda) Almer of Valley Center, California, and Chris Darling of Custer, South Dakota. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, aunts, and uncles.

Jeffry Lee Almer was born May 31, 1952, to Milton and Marjorie (Isensee) Almer in Ventura, California. He attended grade school and began working at MRCI. Jeff spent over 25 years at MRCI and also spent time working at HyVee and Herbergers in New Ulm. He finished his working career two years ago. In his free time, Jeff enjoyed attending the Ease Day Program, fishing, spending time with his friends and house peers, going to garage sales, and telling jokes. Jeff has an awesome personality and loved making people laugh. He will be dearly missed by those who knew him. Blessed be his memory.
