Jerome answered St. Peter’s call and found the key to eternal life on December 23, 2014 at the Gil-Mor Manor Nursing Home in Morgan, at the age of 87 years old.
He is survived by his wife of 67 years, Arlene Landkammer of Clements; children, Kenneth (Virginia) Landkammer of Clements, Kathleen (Roger) Wall of Clements, and Susanne (Dave) Einerson of Cottonwood; nine grandchildren; 18 great-grandchildren; nieces, nephews, and extended family.

Jerome Henry Landkammer was born on December 13, 1927, to Henry and Elizabeth (Liebl) Landkammer in Springfield, Brown County, Minnesota. He was baptized and confirmed in the Catholic faith and graduated from Springfield High School in 1945. After graduation, Jerome enlisted into the United States Navy and was stationed in San Diego, California, “the best city in the world.”
On May 14, 1947, Jerome was united in marriage to Arlene Stock at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Sanborn and they loved unconditionally for 67 years. They made their home on a farm in Sundown Township near Clements where Jerome farmed — raising crops and livestock, milking cows, and custom corn shelling, until his health forced him to retire at the age of 86 years old. Jerome was a trustee and usher at St. Joseph Catholic Church in Clements for many years. Most recently, Jerome and Arlene lived at Gil–Mor Manor Nursing Home in Morgan.
Jerome enjoyed fishing, gardening, playing cards, and spending time with his family.
Blessed be his memory.
