Jesse Fromm

Jesse R. Fromm, 59 of Springfield, died Sunday, Dec. 4, 2016, at Mayo Clinic Health System in Rochester.

Funeral service was held at noon Saturday, Dec. 10, in St. Paul Lutheran Church with Pastor Tricia Mattson officiating.  Interment was in St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery.

Jesse Royal Fromm was born August 12, 1957, in Springfield, Brown County, Minnesota, to Alfred and Irene (Hauth) Fromm. A lifetime resident of Springfield, Jesse graduated from Springfield High School in 1977. He was united in marriage to Fenlan Weng (Helen Fromm) on Oct. 14, 1997, in Fuzhou, China, after the couple fell in love at first sight. Jesse worked at Hogen Construction in Sanborn, Ochs Brick Company in Springfield, and Daktronics, Inc. in Redwood Falls. He was a very talented man who was always happy and smiling. Jesse loved to work and was a skilled carpenter; he spent many hours in the garage he built. He enjoyed traveling, canoeing, deer hunting, and the Minnesota Vikings.

He is survived by his wife Fenlan Weng (Helen Fromm); sister, Betty Lou Kosel; brothers, Gordon (Carol) Fromm, Maxwell Fromm, and Dallas (Nancy) Fromm; sister-in-law, Monica Hauth; father-in-law and mother-in-law Dedong Weng and Jingbi Huang; two sisters-in-law and one brother-in-law in China; goddaughters, Kelly Jandura and Sydney Fromm (niece); nephews,  Michael, Erik and Brian Hauth,and Chad Kosel; and nieces, Angela Tomlinson, Sara Hauth, Mary Maleska, Amanda Johns, Elizabeth Freitag and Darcy Hauth. He was preceded in death by his parents, Alfred and Irene Fromm; brothers, Cedric Fromm and LeRoy Hauth; sister, Rosita Fromm; brother-in-law, Doug Kosel; and special dog, Lacey the Doberman.
