Keith Wendland

 

Keith H. Wendland, 54, of Arlington, died Thursday, October 27, 2016, while hunting south of Arlington.

Keith Henry Wendland was born on May 10, 1962, to Marvin and Fern (Brinkman) Wendland in Springfield. Keith graduated from Springfield High School in 1980 and went on to attend Concordia College. He married Becky Ersland in 1985. They moved to Arlington in 1988. Keith loved the outdoors, hunting, fishing, trapping and gardening.  He also enjoyed the opportunity to be on stage, acting in several area productions.  He was passionate about sharing his faith through leading Bible study, church council, skits for Rally Sunday and guest preaching.

Keith is survived by his wife, Becky; three children, (Bob (Luke) Wendland of Sioux Falls, S.D., Katy (Aaron) Klumb of Dimock, S.D., and Brodrick Wendland of Madison, S.D.; two grandchildren, Addison and Caleb Klumb; parents, Marvin and Fern Wendland of Springfield; sisters, Terri (Terry) Carlson of Wallace, S.D., Dawn (Stuart) Walker of Rantoul, Ill.; and a brother, Dan (Jen) Wendland of Luverne.

 

Memorial services for Mr. Wendland will be at 2 p.m. Thursday, November 3, at Trinity Lutheran Church in Arlington with Pastor Durk Thompson officiating. Inurnment will be in the Arlington City Cemetery. Visitation will be from 5 to 7 p.m. Wednesday, Nov. 2, at the Johnson-Henry Funeral Home in Arlington.
