Kerry Jenzen age 65, of Springfield, died on September 14, 2020, at Sleepy Eye Medical Center. 

A private celebration of life will be held in Kerry’s honor.

Kerry Jenzen, age 65, of Springfield passed away on Monday, September 14, 2020. Kerry was born on July 18, 1955 in Springfield, where he lived through his high school years. After that he spent several years in the Willmar area and then eventually returned to his hometown. He met his wife Barbara (Fest) while living in the Willmar area and they married on July 12, 1996. Kerry was a man who appreciated the simple things in life. He was also a man of many talents, from flying helicopters to commercial fishing to being a mason. He was an avid sportsman with a love for all things hunting and fishing. Nothing brought him more joy in life than spending time with his son and grandson catching a limit of fish or shooting a limit of ducks.

He was loved by all who knew him, each with their own unique story to share, and those memories will be cherished forever. 

He is survived by his wife Barbara; son Drake and Mel; grandson- Braiden; mother Adeline Schubbe; stepmother Linda Jenzen; sisters - Jane Altenhofen and Deb Salonek; brother Hunter (Kristi) Jenzen; nephews and nieces – Nathan Altenhofen, Tianna Salonek, Zach (Cecily) Salonek, Ashton, Jesses, Trey, Eli, and Auggie Jenzen; great nephews - Christian Altenhofen, Taylor Salonek; Barbara’s family - mother-in-law Sharon Fest; sister-in-law Laurie and Robert Emerson; brother-in-law Edward Fest; and nephew Josh Fest. Kerry was preceded in death by his father James Jenzen; step-father Al Schubbe; brothers-in-law Todd Salonek and John Altenhofen; Barbara’s family - father-in-law Fred Fest; sister-in-law Jean Fest and nephew Ryan Fest.
