Visitation will be from 4-7 p.m. Friday, September 11, at Williams Dingmann Family Funeral Home in Sauk Rapids and will continue at the church on Saturday one hour prior to services.

Mr. Levasseur, 69, died Sunday, August 30, 2015, at the St. Cloud Hospital.

Larry was born December 26, 1945, in Ft. Jackson, South Carolina, to Louis and June (Pettis) Levasseur. He graduated from Baudette High School and attended Bemidji State University. He married Paulette Arndt on November 7, 1970, at St. Paul Lutheran Church, Springfield.

In his younger years he worked on a survey team for Lake of the Wood County. He was a project Inspector for MW Carley Engineering in Shoreview for a number of years. He relocated with Carley to the St. Cloud area in 1976. When that company closed in 1982 he was a laborer in the St. Regis Paper Mill in Sartell. Due to major medical issues for a number of years he was forced to retire in 1991.

Larry was a member of the Baudette Moose Lodge for many years. He was also active in the Sartell Jaycees from 1979-1983. His love of hockey brought him to coaching hockey two years before his son was old enough to play. His passion was strong as he helped those young players learn the basics of the game and good sportsmanship. He loved watching all sports, was a WWII history fanatic and in recent years loved meeting other family members for an evening at the casino.

Survivors include his wife, Paulette of Sartell; children, Nicole (David) Wickman of Minneapolis and Lance (Holly) Levasseur of Bixby, Okla.; sister, Geraldine (Tom) Rainbolt of Lincoln, Calif.; grandchildren, Colton and Josephine; special friends, Jeff and Barb; his dog, Tyler; sister in law, Sandie (Richard) Mielke; brothers-in-law, Lennis “Red” Arndt and Tasissa Moti; and many nieces and nephews.

Larry was preceded in death by his parents; father and mother-in-law, Edwin and Edna Arndt; brother in law, Doug Arndt; and sisters in law, Geraldine Moti and Donna Arndt.
