Funeral Service for Laura Schnobrich, 92, was held at 10:30 a.m. Saturday, October 17, at St. Johns Lutheran Church with Pastor Julie Smith officiating. Interment was in the Springfield City Cemetery.
Mrs. Schnobrich died Tuesday, October 13, 2015, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield.
Laura Hattie Schnobrich was born March 2, 1923, in Burnstown Township, Brown County, Minnesota, to Ernest and Mary (Renner) Meine. She was baptized at St. Paul Lutheran Church in Springfield. Laura was united in marriage to Frank A. Schnobrich on June 30, 1947, in Sleepy Eye and the couple lived in Stately Township until moving to Springfield in 1992. She was a former member of Christ Lutheran, Stately Township, and a current member of St. Johns Lutheran Church, American Legion Auxiliary and Springfield Senior Citizens. Laura enjoyed lawn care, outdoor work, fishing, dancing, playing cards, crocheting and fancywork. She also enjoyed gardening, raising flowers, old time music, farming, livestock and poultry.
She is survived by son, Frank Schnobrich and wife Cindy of Springfield; daughter, Dorothy, and husband Arnold Turbes of Springfield; grandchildren, Brigette (Doug) Brown of Springfield, Jennifer (Tony) Nath of Willmar, Doreen Besse of Oceanside, Calif., and Donitta (Kevin) Trebesch of Sleepy Eye; nine great-grandchildren; brothers, Elmer Meine of Springfield, and Walter (Fern) Meine of Springfield; and sister-in-law, Agnes Meine of Illinois. She was preceded in death by her parents; husband Frank, in 1994; grandsons, Jeff Schnobrich and David Turbes; brother, Edward Meine; sisters, Frieda Meine, in infancy, Esther Jenkins, Gertrude (Don) Willhite, and Rose Rambow; and sister-in-law Rose Meine.
