Lorna Runck age 85, of Lamberton died on October 1, 2022, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield, MN.

Visitation was on Wednesday, October 5, 2022, from 4:00 p.m. until 7:00 p.m. at the Sturm Funeral Home in Lamberton and continued at the United Methodist Church in Lamberton on Thursday from 10:00 to 11:00 a.m.

Service was held at the United Methodist Church on Thursday at 11:00 a.m. 

The clergy was Pastor Noel Wetter and Pastor Cathy Hoffbeck. Interment was at the Lamberton Cemetery.

Lorna (Russell) Runck was born May 20, 1937, in New Ulm, Minnesota to William (Tim) and Ida Russell. She attended country schools at West Newton and Winthrop.  After graduating from Winthrop High School, she attended Mankato State College and graduated from the University of Minnesota with a Bachelor's of Science Degree in Home Economics.  While in college, Lorna worked as a 4-H Summer Assistant in Chippewa county. After college graduation, she worked for the University of MN as an Extension Home Economist for Cottonwood County. Lorna and Ervin W. Runck were united in marriage, September 20, 1959, at Lafayette, MN.  Together they raised their three children: Russell, Rochelle and Troy. Lorna was involved in many organizations and hobbies including: Lamberton Community Rummage Sale, 30 plus years; ABC Buying Club food coop, 37 years; charter member Redwood County Home Economics Club, Lamberton Contemporary Club, Lamberton Reading Club, United Methodist Church Faith Circle, State Fair and county 4-H judge. In the early 70's Lorna served multiple roles for Southwest Health Care including Executive Secretary bringing a healthcare clinic back to Lamberton.  Throughout the past 50 years, Lorna's greatest passion was to coach others to improved health through natural health and nutrition.

Lorna's second passion was flower gardening. Lorna was known for her floral arrangements and tailored clothing exhibits at Redwood, Chippewa, Carver County and the MN State Fair. Lorna had a strong faith in her Lord Jesus Christ as a member of the Revere Christian Fellowship and the United Methodist Church.  She enjoyed family time, playing 500, family reunions, preparing meals for family, playing piano, clarinet, sewing and designing and constructing banners.

Lorna is survived by her husband Ervin, children Troy Runck of Lamberton, Russell (Anne) Runck of Watertown, MN, grandsons Austin Runck (fiancée Michelle Hayes) of Savage, Alexander Runck of Seattle, Washington, sisters Ilene Bussler and Beth Russell.Preceding Lorna in death: daughter Rochelle Lorna Runck, parents William (Tim) and Ida Russell.
