Lowell Earl Anderson was born August 31, 1933, on the family farm in Burnstown Township, Brown County, Minnesota, to Tom and Anna (Gould) Anderson. He was baptized on November 19, 1933, and confirmed on January 1, 1948, at St. Johns Lutheran Church in Springfield. Lowell graduated from Springfield High School in 1951 and served with the U.S. Army at Fort Sill, Oklahoma, from September 23, 1954, until June 20, 1956. He was united in marriage to Annette Beadell on January 30, 1957, at St. Johns Lutheran Church. Lowell farmed his entire life and raised grain, feeder cattle and milked cows in his earlier years. He enjoyed working on his computer, taking pictures, old family photos, and playing cards — “He always had the biggest trump in the world!” Lowell also enjoyed football, always remembered the scores, and attending the Anderson and Runck family reunions. He especially enjoyed the grandchildren and great-grandchildren’s birthday parties, and having them visit at his house.

He is survived by his wife, Annette, of Springfield; children, Wendy, Dennis and wife Sally, Jerry, and James C. and friend Jenny, all of Springfield; grandchildren, Pat (Carita), Dustin (Jessie), Ryan (Ashley), Jay (fiancee’ Lisa), Jon, Danielle (Luke) Nord, Adam, Lauren, and Brayden; 12 great-grandchildren; siblings Andrew and Tom, Jr. (Bud); sister-in-law Jan; and many dear nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his parents Tom and Anna (Gould) Anderson; brothers, Dick and Alan; sisters-in-law Norma, Bonnie, and Pearl; and son-in-law Tim.
