Madonna Neeb


Madonna May Neeb, 85, died March 22, 2016, at Rochester after a short illness.

Funeral Mass was conducted at 11 a.m. Monday, March 28, at St. Raphael Catholic Church in Springfield with The Rev. Phil Schotzko officiating.  Interment was in the Sanborn City Cemetery.

MaDonna May Flag was born March 28, 1930, to Ralph and Estella (Schouweiler) Flaig in Redwood County. She attended Sanborn Public School and graduated in 1947. She married Martin A. Neeb Feb. 8, 1949, at St. Thomas Catholic Church in Sanborn. The couple farmed 25 years near Lamberton. The family later moved to Worthington and in 1991 Madonna and Martin moved to Nevis where they purchased a home on Lake Belle Taine to enjoy their retirement. MaDonna moved to Rochester in 2001and lived at Fairway Ridge, followed by Samaritan Bethany. 

Surviving are four sons, Michael and wife Kathy of Crooks, S.D., Thomas and wife Cindy of Los Banos, Calif., Mark of Rochester, and Nick and wife Roz of Northfield; nine grandchildren; a sister, Shirley (Bob) Simonson of Springfield; a brother, Gilbert (Marlene) Flaig of Eau Claire, Wis., and sisters-in-law, Elaine Flag and Marie Neeb of Worthington and Berdine Neeb of Lamberton.
