Marie M. Weinberger

Marie M. Weinberger age 88, of Springfield, died on April 8, 2020, at St. John Lutheran Home in Springfield. 

A private interment will take place at the St. Paul Lutheran Cemetery in Springfield. 

Marie Weinberger was born on May 1, 1931 to Fred and Emma (Jeske) Weinberger in Stately Township, Brown County, MN. She moved to Springfield in the 1930’s with her family. After graduating from Springfield High School she worked at VonFischer Drug Store and then for Dan Lassegard. Marie was a member of St. Paul Lutheran Church where she spent countless hours beautifully decorating the church. Marie loved tending to her flower gardens. Her flowers were exhibited in many area flower shows. Marie also loved all the cats she cared for. 

She is survived by her special friend - Marsha Schmidt of Springfield and her children - Tammy Hatlestad (Eric Stockland) and Tammy’s daughter Sadie of Spicer and Matthew (Kari) Schmidt of Sleepy Eye, and numerous cousins.

Marie was preceded in death by her parents; siblings - Willie and Elsie; cousins - Doris Savage, Betty Bielen, and Janet Fraker; and friend – Chuck Schmidt.
