Paul Reiner

Paul Anthony Reiner, 63 son of Albert and Elaine, was born October 16, 1959 at the Springfield hospital and passed away of cancer on April 7, 2023. Paul went to school at Saint Raphael’s till the fourth grade, then transferred to Sanborn Public School graduating in 1978. He went on to college in Willmar, Minnesota, then to Bowling Green, Kentucky, and finished his master’s degree for social work at Sacramento, California. He resided most of his life in the Sacramento area and settled in Yuba City, California. 

His lifelong commitment to the well-being of children he worked with was his legacy. 

He was very close to his son Lucas , family and work family and friends. He enjoyed wrestling in high school and college and had a passion for horses, golfing, old country music, walking and cooking. 

Paul enjoyed coming back to his family in Minnesota in summer, (not winter)! He loved the outdoors and family and friends! 

Paul had a celebration of life at his request with family and friends on April 5. He passed away peacefully on April 7, Good Friday with his brothers and sisters by his side in Fall River, California at his brother Russ and Deb‘s home. 

Paul is survived by his only son Lucas, siblings :Joyce (Dave) McConville, Margie (Nick) Conyers, Russell (Deb) Reiner, Glen (Dorothy) Reiner, Jack (Jo) Reiner and Sara (Bill) Schaffran. 

Paul was preceded in death by his son, Jeremy, his parents and grandparents. 

If you wish to plant a yellow rosebush in Paul’s memory, it was his favorite!
