Rachel Pflughoeft

Rachael L. (Stephens) Pflughoeft, 68, of Mankato, and formerly of Winona, passed away on Friday, December 26, 2014, at the Green Lea Manor in Mabel, Minnesota.

She was born on May 19, 1946, in Winona, to Robert and Margaret “Dolly” (Brose) Stephens.

Rachael will be remembered for her love of doing crafts and the time she spent with her family and friends.  Although Rachael had many struggles in her life, her heart was full of love for her family and friends, and she was always willing to lend a helping hand to anyone in need.

Rachael is lovingly survived by her children, Stacy (Bill) Rossin, Winona; Gary (Kendra) Pflughoeft, Fort Collins, Colo.; Karla (Phillip) Jelliffe, Novelty, Ohio; and Brian (Angel) Weber, Sanborn; grandchildren, Tara (Adam) Rossin; Aimee (Joey) Rossin; Samantha (Brandon) Rossin; Aubrey (John) Reed; Amanda Rossin; Logan Jelliffe; Christian, Deena, Eva and Fara Weber; great-grandchildren, Hayden and Kort Bellman; and Jordyn Taverna; sisters, Sharon (Dave) Martin; Tess (Dave) Holzer; and Paula Stephens, all of Winona; Sara (Ken) Fabian, Canton; brother, Tom Stephens, Winona; as well as numerous nieces, nephews, other relatives and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; and a niece, Maelyn Fabian.

Visitation preceded the 2:30 funeral service Tuesday, December 30, at the Watkowski-Mulyck Funeral Home in Winona. The Reverend Monsignor Thomas J. Hargesheimer officiated at the service. Rachael was laid to rest at St. Mary’s Cemetery in a private family ceremony. Pallbearers were Rachael’s grandchildren.
