Raymond ‘Ray’ Hager

Raymond, “Ray” Hager, 79, of New Ulm died March 15, 2018, at the Good Samaritan Society in Winthrop after an eight month battle with pancreatitis. Funeral services was held Monday, March 19, at Oakwood Church in New Ulm, with burial in the New Ulm City Cemetery.

Raymond Albert Hager was born on Feb. 6, 1939, in Sleepy Eye, and graduated from Sleepy Eye Public High School. He married Marcella Sellner Dec. 5, 1960, at Brookings, S.D. They lived in Sleepy Eye,  Springfield, and then in New Ulm for the rest of his life.  He served three years with the  Springfield Police Department and then 26 years with the Brown County Sheriff’s Department, retiring in 1994. 

He is survived by his wife; a son and daughter-in-law, Randy and  Rosemarie of Minneapolis; and daughter and son-in-law, Vicky and Tim Harmening of Courtland.
